Phan Rang or formally Phan Rang-Thap Cham, is a medium sized city and the capital of Ninh Thuan Province. It is the former capital of the Cham people and many Cham still live and practice their religion in the area.
Ninh Thuan is a fairly large province and it is necessary to use motor scooters or cars/taxis to get to anything from the villa. The roads are good and relatively safe compared to most places in Vietnam so if you are comfortable driving a motor scooter we can arrange a rental. Taxis from our place must be called. Car with driver can be rented by the hour or by the day.
Ninh Thuan gets the least amount of rainfall in Vietnam. Temperatures are relatively mild, with warm winters and cooling winds along the coast in the summer. In fact, grapes are grown in the province.
Most of the rain comes in late September to early November. That is also when there is the least amount of wind. There is a reason Ninh Thuan is the renewable energy capital of Vietnam and also one of the best kite surfing destinations. It is windy. More so in he winter.
